Teddy Bear Check-up Day

On Saturday, May 31, bring your favorite teddy bear to Stone Zoo for a day of cuddly fun to coincide with the opening of the new black bear exhibit, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.

Zoo staff will be on hand to give your bear a check up and a clean bill of health. Later, march through the zoo in a Teddy Bear Parade. Along the way, say hello to Smoky and Bubba, Stone Zoo’s new resident black bears.

Radio Disney will entertain with music, games and fun on the main stage.

Also stop by the Nature Zoo Tour 2008booth, hosted byPBS’s award-winning “Nature” series and its corporate sponsor Toyota. The tour, appearing at U.S. zoos across the country, celebrates wildlife and offers information about preservation, conservation and the weekly series, which airs locally on WGBH Sundays at 8 p.m. (check local listings).
Event is free with regular paid admission.

Stone Zoo Admission:$9 for adults; $6 for children 2-12; Children under 2 are free. ($8 for seniors 62+); and 25 cents from each paid admission and $5 from each membership to go towards wildlife conservation efforts.
