Baby Bedding Sets Are Simpler and Are Not So Expensive

The options for crib bedding are nearly endless, and you’ll find literally hundreds of choices, from girl’s crib bedding to baby boy bedding to unisex bedding sets. For ease and cost-savings, you should really consider buying a bedding set. Baby crib bedding sets are exactly the same as buying a “bed in a bag” for an adult’s bed. Buying a baby bedding set will give you more confidence that everything will look right together, and some extra (matching) crib sheets are easy to find.
Keep in mind that different bedding sets are going to use different fabrics, colors, and styles. Silk might be a first choice, but keep in mind that it’s going to be a lot more expensive and harder to clean than cotton or flannel. Whether you just like changing things around frequently, or you’re redecorating the nursery for a new baby, bedding sets make it easy because you can change the look of the nursery considerably by just switching bedding sets.
Obviously, you will need to think about the gender of your new baby and buy bedding that will match. There’s a bit of a double standard in crib bedding, though. Pink is a no for a boy, but blue is OK in a girl’s room. Manufacturers pay close attention to buying trends (they don’t want to make something no one will buy), so you probably won’t have any problems finding what you want. In a boy’s nursery, you’ll often find themes like football baby bedding. If you want a bright and vibrant nursery for your little boy, you should have no problem. There are plenty of bedding sets in greens, blues, oranges, and reds.Girls’ themes will usually incorporate characters like princesses, ballerinas, or fairies. While pink is the first color associated with a girl’s nursery, purple, yellow, and even blue are also common choices. For a gender neutral nursery, consider abstract prints in neutral colors, animals, or stars and moons.
Usually you’ll be able to find something you like, but if you have your heart set on a particular style and just can’t find it anywhere, you can look into a custom set instead. Or if you sew, you can make the bedding yourself. Buying baby bedding can be a challenge, but as long as you keep your budget and preferences in mind, you should be able to find what you want.
